Support Organizations

A separate corporate entity nested underneath the Jewish Foundation of Memphis.

Creating a Support Organization (SO) with the Jewish Foundation of Memphis is an incredible way to perpetuate family values, involve future generations and formalize your charitable giving while at the same time serve as a permanent reminder of the family's impact in strengthening our community.

What is a Support Organization?

An SO is established as a separate corporate entity nested underneath an umbrella organization like the Jewish Foundation of Memphis. It elects its own Board of Directors and establishes its own set of Bylaws, keeping in mind that it must be in support of the goals and objectives of the umbrella organization.

We are proud to have four SOs among our family of fund holders:
  • The Belz 2008 Foundation
  • The Wendy and Avron B. Fogelman Foundation
  • The Burton Weil Family Foundation
  • The Temple Israel Cemetery Sustainability Fund, Inc.
Get Started

“The work we do every day through the Jewish Foundation of Memphis has changed the culture of giving in our Jewish community. Endowment is now part of the philanthropic offerings of all of our organizations – which is critical to the long-term security of our Jewish community. I am proud to have been a part of such a critical organization.”
